🌸 **Ingredients:**
1. Chicken and duck (1800g)
Chicken hearts and livers (150g)
Eggs (150g)
2. Vegetables 900g (250g carrots + 250g purple sweet potatoes + 150g broccoli + 150g pumpkin + 100g oats)

🌸 **Ratio of Meat to Vegetables:**
1. Meat (chicken + duck): 60%
2. Organ meats (chicken hearts + livers): 5%
3. Eggs: 3 eggs (5%)
4. Vegetables (pumpkin + broccoli + purple sweet potatoes + carrots + oats): 30%

🌸 **Homemade Steps:**
1. Blanch the meat to remove impurities and reduce phosphorus content. Alternatively, you can grind it directly with a food processor.
2. Grind all ingredients in a food processor. Remember to stir-fry the carrots with a little oil. Mix everything well in a bowl and shape into small balls.
3. Steam the balls for 30 minutes. Let them cool, then store them in food bags and freeze them. Reheat by steaming when you plan to feed them.
4. Calculate the daily feeding amount based on 4% of the dog's weight. For a 2kg dog, that would be 80g per day.

**❤ Notes:**
1. The meat-to-vegetable ratio can be 6:4 or 7:3. Don’t stress too much over it.
2. For small dogs, consider a 6:4 or 5:5 ratio. Too much meat can lead to pancreatitis.
3. Use purple sweet potatoes instead of regular ones; they're better for reducing tear stains and have lower sugar content.
4. Stir-fry carrots with a little oil or the dog won’t absorb nutrients well.
5. Avoid using salmon due to high fat content—it can cause tear stains, soft stools, and digestive issues in dogs.

**I. Homemade Dog Food Ingredient Proportions** For the correct proportions of daily homemade dog food, I've categorized the ingredients into three major groups. **First Category: Meat (60%)** Meats include: Lean pork, lean beef, lean lamb, freshwater fish, various sea fish, chicken, duck, eggs, dairy products like goat milk and cheese, and organ meats such as chicken heart, chicken liver, pork liver, and beef liver. (Note: Animal organ meats should make up 3%-7% of the meat ingredients.) **Second Category: Vegetables (20%)** Vegetables include: Seasonal veggies like spinach, bok choy, celery mustard, cabbage, red cabbage, lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins, okra, lotus root, broccoli, carrots, and radishes; mushrooms like shiitake, enoki, and button mushrooms; and starchy vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, and yams. (Note: Do not feed your dog chives or onions.) **Third Category: Carbohydrates (20%)** Carbohydrates include: Grains such as rice, cornmeal, wheat bran, green beans, barley, soybeans, noodles; and starchy vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, and yams. These proportions align with a dog's physiological structure and simplify nutrition and calorie calculations. Dogs are omnivores, with a digestive system geared for meat. Therefore, cut meat into bite-sized pieces or strips. Vegetable ingredients should be pureed to aid digestion, as whole or large chunks may cause vomiting or diarrhea. Carbohydrate ingredients should be cooked until soft to facilitate easy digestion. **II. Precautions** 1. For meat with bones, grind the bones into a paste; for fish, crush the bones to a puree to prevent any injury to the dog's intestines. 2. If your dog has only ever eaten kibble, its gut flora is not diverse. Before introducing homemade food, feed each new ingredient separately to check for allergies and exclude any allergenic foods from future meals. 3. If your dog does not suffer from constipation, reduce the amount of foods like sweet potatoes, pumpkins, and purple potatoes, which can cause loose stools. For dogs with sensitive stomachs, consider adding 10%-20% of gut-soothing ingredients like yams, lotus root, okra, or kudzu root powder soup to their food to promote healthy digestion and stool formation.
